ŠTEFAN STRÁŽAY (1940)
słowacki poeta, jeden z najwybitniejszych poetów swojego pokolenia. Ukończył filologię rosyjsko-słowacką na Wydziale Filozoficznym Uniwersytetu Komeńskiego w Bratysławie. Pracował między innymi jako pedagog w liceum. Do 2000 roku był redaktorem naczelnym w wydawnictwie Slovenský spisovatel. Jest autorem kilkunastu zbiorów wierszy. Mieszka w Bratysławie.
ŠTEFAN STRÁŽAY (1940)
is a Slovak poet, one of the most recognized poets of his generation. A graduate of Slovak and Russian Literary Studies from the Department of Philosophy at the Comenius University in Bratislava, he worked as a high school teacher for many years. Until 2020, he was Editor-in-Chief at the Slovenský Spisovatel Publishing House. He has published more than a dozen collections of poetry. He lives in Bratislava.
ZBIGNIEW MACHEJ (1958)
poeta, tłumacz i eseista pochodzący z Cieszyna. W czasach PRL-u współpracował z opozycją demokratyczną i niezależnym ruchem wydawniczym. Po 1989 roku pracował jako dziennikarz, menedżer kultury i dyplomata. Ostatnio opublikował tomy wierszy 2020 (2021) i Iskierka w tunelu (2023) oraz zbiór esejów Praga in flagranti (2023). Tłumaczył m.in. wiersze Tranosciusa, Petra Krála, Jána Ondruša, Ivana Štrpki, Thomasa Traherne’a.

ZBIGNIEW MACHEJ (1958)
is Polish poet, essayist and translator from Cieszyn. During the times of the Polish People’s Republic, he collaborated with the democratic opposition and independent publishers. After 1989, he has worked as a journalist, culture manager and diplomat. His most recent publications include the collections of poetry 2020 (2021) and Iskierka w tunelu (Spark in the Tunnel, 2023) and the essays Praga in flagranti (2023). He has translated works by Tranoscius, Petr Král, Ján Ondruš, Ivan Štrpka and Thomas Traherne.
